The place doesn't even look that beat up - compared to most of the other vacant houses in that part of the neighborhood...
too bad someone couldn't rehab the place.  I always wondered what the inside looked like.  I remember the guy who owned the
building right after I got out of high school... he's long gone by now.

A yellow 8 was on the porch pillar to the right of the front steps.

That's a shame... nice old building.  Looks like it was four apartments

is there a Yellow "8" painted on the outside anywhere?  This  is what the gas company puts on the
outside of a building once the gas lines have been cut off and the meter(s) removed.  it's a sure sign
that the building is on the demo list...
