The show is actually on from 9:00 a.m. to Noon.

Today's guest was Bertram de Souza of the Vindicator.

The topic was corruption in Mahoning County government.

Its strange that given just how many years louie has been in broadcasting that the best he can do is jump from one 500 watt station to another  while others like Mangino have gone to 50,000 watt stations (KDKA) and others to 50,000 watt stations in Cleveland.

Louie Free is at a new radio station

By the way, a radio stations ratings are not based on the number of unique hits it gets on its web site. WGFT could get thousands of hits on its website, but they do not count with Arbatron.

It would be no great suprise if Free's program was canceled given the fact that he has not generated the ratings that his station deserves. WGFT/WASN/WRBP are at the very bottom of the ratings sheet ratings period after ratings period and that is disastrous for the station's bottom line. These stations are for profit stations and with so few listeners what they can charge advertisers is the lowest in the market, not something would be sponsors want to see.

No station can live on public service announcements alone.

When this is coupled with the fact that the stations are the weakest in the market 500 watts for WGFT and WASN and their signals barely cover the valley, its a wonder that they're still on the air.

Is it true that the Louie Free Show will no longer be heard from the radio studio on Federal Plaza in downtown Youngtown?
