You must be referring to Jim Marter and the Mahoning Valley Railroad Heritage Association.  The City gave them some land across the street from Texas Auto Wrecking on Poland Avenue.  The land that used to be a parking lot for Republic Steel.  They may start developing the site this year.

Could that be where the Railroad Musuem is going?  I suggested that site to the gentleman who has several old rr cars.

Allied Erecting is putting in a new plant on the hillside to the west of Poland Avenue.  They have to dig out the hillside and are trucking the dirt in big Euclids across the street to that new pile.  They are also excavating the foundations of the Republic Steel open hearth plant, probably pulling out scrap that was left behind and buried.

I heard that they are building a bridge there but I'm not sure where it will go or for what purpose.

What is the purpose of the mountain of dirt that is being placed between Poland Avenue and the Mahoning River just east of the Center Street Bridge?
