Neighborhood Centered Services

Existing block watches should be given more power to direct city services to the neighborhoods where they are located.  A small portion of the city staff from each department should be assigned to work directly for a given block watch.  The streamlining of services would keep a viable neighborhood from deteriorating.

Another aspect of Neighborhood Center Services could call for a resident to be hired on a part time basis to provide sidewalk snow removal, the mowing of grass on vacant lots, and litter removal.
