I seriosly doubt it for the very simple fact that these food give aways can not and do not supply all the food that a family needs. In fact, at best it suppliments what they need ... some produce ... a few canned goods ... bread. No family could survive on just what they get at a food give away alone.

Are Food Giveaways Also Responsible For The Decline Of Youngstown Grocery Stores?

This question was posed the other day.  If someone is getting FREE food, why would they go to a Youngstown grocery store to buy food?  Numerous food giveaways take place in Youngstown every week.  As a matter of fact, one is scheduled for the Covelli Centre this coming Saturday.
