Speaking of railroads

The Mahoning Valley Railroad Heritage Association vision is to offer a welcoming railroad experience for families and visitors of all ages through enriching, entertaining, and educational activities, programs and exhibits at the Steel Valley Railroad Museum. The Museum will provide a positive environment that cultivates knowledge of our industrial heritage and offers a repository of information for future generations to draw upon. The Museum will be a place where older generations can capture the nostalgia of days gone by, and younger generations can be encouraged to meet the challenges of the future.

Atty. Mike Hoza is my neighbor in Poland and he is counsel and the interim director of Castlo.  If you are interested in talking to him about the cars, I will introduce you to him.  Also, I have seen the RR cars, Nice.

Nothing in Pittsburgh, but there are eleven cars at Castlo and a PRR ore jenny that is currently MIA.

I was once a member of the MVRHA. Actually it was me who arranged the donation of the hot metal car that sits out front.  I got that car for them way before I started working on the Tod Engine project.  When I found the Tod Engine I kind of went my own separate way with my own organization.  There is more equipment in their collection which is not on site yet.

I operated over this railroad when I worked for the Ohio Central.  Also did volunteer work when the PL&W was running tourist trains between Rogers and Negley. Neat little railroad!

That site covers the CQPA railroad as it was known from 2001 to 2003 when the D&R Railroad out of Arkansas ran the line and a little bit of its operations after Ohio Central took it over. After OC took over the railroad line and changed it to the Ohio and Pennsylvania Railroad, I didn't do as much rail photography.
