I would think from the side, but I am not 100% sure

Was the sign hit from the front or back?

Mary_Krupa

Personally, I like the stocks idea!

Patti Dougan was telling me that the boulder idea would work. We just need to set a time to do this. However, the poles are broken and the back of the sign is damaged so this will take some $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ (where's Tony Lariccia when you need him?). This was an $1100 sign paid for by the 7th Ward Citizens Coalition, Inc., private citizens and Wean Foundation grant monies. It was installed with volunteer labor and along with 4 other signs, was a 2 year project. We are also asking if the hit and run driver doesn't come forward that s/he donate money anonymously to our 7WCC post office box.

Chris Travers was interviewed on Channel 33 this morning about this.

Do you need help moving the stones into place?  I don't have any equipment to haul, but could provide muscle when they are placed.

;D  Not a bad idea Jay. Not a bad idea at all.   ;D

Yeah,

Beat them about the head with the broken sign a few times....

:::::::Just kidding::::::::

How about public punishment for the vandal?

john r. swierz

We have them ,we just didn't get  them in place fast enough

Rick Rowlands

What about some landscaping around the sign that includes a few very large boulders?

AllanY2525

This kind of stuff is so disappointing - here you have a neighborhood that
has residents, ie: stake holders; who take pride in where they live and
some assinine [sp?]  bastard with no respect for others has to come along and
ruin the sign.

I hope they catch this person, and force them to replace the sign and
do community service for what they've done.

The new Brownlee Woods sign that was just installed on Sheridan Blvd. Becomes a victim of a "hit and run". Some time between 9:30 am and 2:30pm someone ran over the sign and broke part of the sign and one post.
