It's a prime example of not beliveing everything you hear.

That nutjob from Cleveland wants us to believe that our unemployment rate is less than 1/2 of what it was this time last year?

Of the 150 or so people I am laid off with (from the same company) I only know about 10% that have been able to find work.

I can only speculate, but I think the analyst was referring to new job growth vs. job loss.  I believe the same has been true for the U.S. as a whole recently; while unemployment numbers remain high, new job growth has also been happening.

John will you please explain this story to us? The other day WKBN-TV reported that unemployment was down, and now this Vindicator story reports that it's up. Who's right and who's wrong?
