Most New Firefighters are not from Youngstown

I see two examples of that almost every day when looking at a Liberty Police Cruiser and/or a Boardman Police cruiser parked in two different driveways within 1 mile of where I live in Austintown off of Turner Rd.

A few days ago, a newspaper story indicated that of the five new firefighters hired by the City of Youngstown, only one was from Youngstown.   The other four were from North Jackson, Girard, Springfield and Poland.

I doubt if the four will move into the city.  This is just another example of our tax dollars flowing to the suburbs.
