This is what it looks like.  What I found is the silver part.  It is not magnetic.  It might be cast aluminum.  It makes a bell-like sound when hit with another piece of metal.

Questions, questions, questions, actually seven.

Is it one of those metal straps with a handle?

Maybe a plastic(ish) strap with a handle?

How about a big round, but not deep, socket-like thingy with a big metal spring that wraps around the filter but only grabs tight when loosening the filter?

Or is it the other big round, but not deep, socket-like thingy with three arms that squeeze into the filter only while removing the filter?

What kind of condition is it in?

Will you be using it or are you looking to sell it?

Do you now someone that wants to borrow it?

I found an oil filter wrench today.  I looked it up and discovered that the wrench sells for about $10.
