Eliminate WRTA Bus Fares ??? - Tuesday, September 21

Not too long ago we somehow approved a so-called renewal of the sales tax to support them permanently.

At that time I said if it becomes permanent they will never have to ask for another renewal, they'll just ask for a new sales tax in 5 years.

For them to think they could, or should, eliminate fares tells me they already have more money than they know what to do with and they need to figure out how to waste enough to "need" another sales tax added to cover it. I bet that "need" shows up well before the 5 years I mentioned earlier.

The WRTA will hold two video meetings on Tuesday, September 21, to ask the public about an idea to permanently eliminate WRTA transit fares.
