I find it VERY disturbing that the period between Thanksgiving and Christmas has been turned into one big commercialized buying frenzy. It's really getting out of hand.

In order to become a better society and better people individually, we need to reverse this trend. Instead, possibly using this time of year for less buying and more personal reflection about what we can do to make ourselves better people and our communities better places to live.
