Youngstown man struck and killed while walking in Boardman

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash involving a pedestrian near Sports World in Boardman Township. Troopers say a 2015 Chevrolet Equinox driven a 24-year-old Youngstown was traveling on South Avenue near Fairfield Drive Wednesday nightwhen it struck a pedestrian, Jose Morales 29, of Youngstown who was walking in the roadway.  Morales was transported to St. Elizabeth’s main where he died.
