Sunday's Storm

Today I noticed an unusually shaped metal device in the tree lawn along South Schenley.

What was it?

It was a chimney cap spark screen that must have been blown from someone's house during the storm.

We had no problems here.

My wife works for Ohio 811 (Call before you dig).

She got to work this morning and the lady who worked the night shift said she was so busy she should have had help. People were waiting on hold because of the number of state wide "utilities" that needed marks so they could dig (for whatever reason) to fix what was damaged.

At my house, the rain came down so hard that the rain gutters overflowed.
