Please don't tell me somebody actually suggested relaying the Erie mainline to the Terminal building!  I didn't think the Youngstown brain drain had gotten that bad!

That would pose a problem now wouldn't it?

I don't get downtown all that often in my advanced years so I didn't realize that all the space was already accounted for.

The Erie Train Station would have brought train service close to the business district of downtown Youngstown.  I believe the tracks between the downtown and Wood Street were removed during the Ungaro administration though.  I can think of a few things that stand in the way of ever using the right of way to the Erie Building.  These are The Mahoning County Jail, The Youngstown Center Of Industry And Labor, the Federal Court House, the Fifth Avenue earthen fill and the Wick Avenue earthen fill.
