I noticed that the vindicator posted for 6 to 8, but in my neighbor hood they  started at 5pm   and like other post car loads from other sides of town came over and parked all over the streets.  Then I informed the parents that also there was a indoor Halloween party at the police precinct at Mahoning and Elanor which I took my grandkids to. Great turnout.

Great.  It can pass infront of the Downtown Youngstown Christmas Tree and the Nativity Scene (that isnt there).

Let's save the leftover candy for the next parade.

There might be a Christmas parade in downtown Youngstown this year.

Our neighborhood had no lights on, so we took our children to Austintown where it was like old times with almost every house lit.  Our kids came  back with several bags full each.  It was like when we were children ourselves.  It was rather nice.  Too bad the neighborhoods in Y-Town don't seem to try to make it like the old times.

Oh well.

We had 33 kids this year and just a little over 100 last year.  It was so nice out this year we expected a lot of kids and have candy left over.  :'(

The Lansingville Block Watch drives around in a well marked "Block Watch" car with flashers on and a flashing yellow light to let the kids and parents know we are around.  We bought 3 boxes of 50 bags of mixed chips and have one box left.  We give people giving stuff out chips - sometimes we get their stuff too.  We also give it to Moms and Dads - I always tell the Dads "Have this with your beer"  I like to hope people drive just a little slower when they see us - and maybe the kids behave just a little better too   I do know it is a lot of fun to talk to people and have a great time doing it.

You were lucky.  We had children (hundreds) being driven to our neighborhood from everywhere.  At times, the cars caused a traffic jam in the street.

We barely had any. Very dissapointed, as this was my first year passing out candy in Youngstown.(Originally From Columbus Area)

Much less. Last year we bought 10 bags of candy and ran out exactly at 7. This year, I bought the same amount and used only three bags.

We had fewer this year.  We even went in early.
Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.

How was Trick Or Treat in your neighborhood?

Did you have more or fewer children than last year?
