Local Developmental Disabilities monitor proposed federal cuts to Special Olympics

A proposal that would eliminate federal funding to the Special Olympics is under attack. The proposed cuts were presented by Education Secretary Betsy DeVos as part of the Trump Administration's 2020 budget, and although at the local level many Special Olympic events are funded through donations there is still concern on what the trickle down affect could look like.
