My reply has been deleted from their site as well.

Truly, "unbiased" journalism at its very worst... what ever
happened to news agencies which were willing to stand
up and accept their criticisms and publish them for all
to see?

Maybe I pi**ed them off by saying what I alluded to,
regarding the US bailing them out of TWO world war
occupations by enemy forces - but if the TRUTH HURTS,
then deal with it.

:(

I posted a reply on their website.... It's been removed, lol.

I guess the truth was a little to harsh for them.

I posted a response on their web site... basically, my closing statement was:

If you're from America, raise your hand.

If you're from France, raise BOTH hands and say "I surrender"

The reporter(s) covering this story should be smacked about the head with a large, wet
trout - repeatedly.

Wow... what an absolute load of garbage that video was...

While I didn't bother to watch the video, the article, what there was of it told me enough.

Sure, there are many areas of our city that are slums, and sure, there are places where it simply isn't safe to go day or night, but as one who pours over dozens of papers from all over the country for material for my web site on a daily basis, the same can be said for hundreds of American cities.

As for the web site in question, who runs it? Have they bothered really researching Youngstown, and the many positive news reports that have been published by reputable publications? I doubt it.

Youngstown is far from perfect ... it certainly has its faults that we can't ignore, but given the cards we've been delt we're making incretable progress, and if some half baked publication doesn't have brains enough to see this, it's their fault.

If you would do a Google search of other cities our size you could find articles bashing them.

As for us, we know the truth, and its we who have invested our time and money into Youngstown's future, so with the help of those folks and organizations who are doing the grunt work towards a better future, why worry about what outsiders who do a drive thru and nothing more say?

Okay, someone emailed me this website.

I think it only showed the negative about Youngstown. I read some of the comments people had made about the news clip and of course some thought it was perfect and others thought it was a little misleading. I just thought I would post this in case someone is interested in wathcing it.
