Downed trees, wind prompt Valley power outages

Downed trees and wind prompted power outages throughout the Valley. At one point Thursday night, there were nearly 2,000 outages reported in Mahoning County. At 12:00 a.m. Friday, there were 165 outages reported in Mahoning, 51 in Columbiana and 104 in Mercer  In Mahoning, most of the outages were expected to be fixed before 2:30 a.m. In Mercer, outages were expected to be fixed by 1:30 a.m. Multiple trees were reported down in Boardman, blocking some roads.
