Crash sends highway sign through car in Champion

A crash on Route 5 in Champion sent a mile marker sign airborne and through a car. It happened on the bypass just before 9 p.m. in the eastbound lane west of Mahoning Avenue. Troopers say a car failed to yield getting onto Route 5, which sent a semi crashing into a median and mile marker sign. The sign went airborne and through another car in the opposite lane. No one was hurt.
