FYI

Youngstown's All Heart

An Open Invitation to the People of Youngstown

On behalf of the entire Joe Kaluza family, Handel's Ice Cream would like to invite you, your family, and friends to participate in a very special weekend.

During the first weekend of August, 8/1 – 8/3, Handel's Ice Cream will be donating 50 cents for every pint sold as well as a $1.00 for every quart of ice cream sold to the Joe Kaluza Fund. The monies raised will be used to off set the staggering medical bills that he is incurring everyday since he was shot and left paralyzed from the neck down during a staged robbery. What makes this senseless act that much more tragic, is that Joe is the sole bread winner for his family of four, and his son and daughter both are special needs children.

During this weekend Handel's will unveil a very special ice cream and launch an on going campaign to help Joe. Our hope is that this project will be the beginning of something, which those of us, who call Youngstown home, will be very proud of.  The campaign will be called, "Youngstown's all Heart". It is a call to all of us to "Be More" and "Do More". By donating $2.00 to this campaign, you will receive a red bracelet that will show everyone, you believe, we can all do a little more to help those who need a helping hand. By helping Joe, as a community, we might all feel better about doing something for someone who is less fortunate. As parents, as teachers, as business or church leaders, can we teach our younger generation a better lesson than compassion?

We are asking everyone who has the ability to read this to think about what you can do to make a
difference, not only in Joe's life but in your own.  By "Doing More" you will "Become More". We all need to make changes we can be proud of. Please join us the weekend of August 1st and do something to help Joe, to help our community, and to help yourself.

Best Regards,

Jim
