Lit Youngstown Winter Writing Camp

When: Saturday, February 16, 2019 - All Day
Where: Main Library at MN Large Meeting Room

Lit Youngstown's second annual Winter Writing Camp is a daylong event for writing enthusiasts of all ages and experience levels. Sessions will be held at St. John’s Episcopal Church and the Public Library of Youngstown & Mahoning County, and will be led by teaching artists from throughout the region; topics will include free writing, adding mystery to your stories, ghosts as characters, blackout poetry, word play, structuring a story, and "flash" writing.  Tours of Main Library, highlighting resources for writers, will be offered as well. The Winter Writing Camp will run from 9:30 to 3:00 and will include a baked potato bar for lunch, cookies, storytelling & an open mic for those who would like to share their work. The day is free with registration, and includes childcare for children under the age of 5. Attendees under 12 should be accompanied by an adult.
