Tragic fire, govt. corruption top local news stories this year

The late night fire at this Parkcliffe Avenue home on Youngstown's South Side, which killed five young children and injured their mother, was deemed the top local news story of the Valley for 2018. A memorial of stuffed animals and flowers grew in front of the home as community members left tributes to the kids.
