Even in view of the threat of impeachment, Dann said in a letter and press release this morning that he won't step down, opening the door for more messy publicity for Youngstown.

What is so bad is the fact that the Governor was slated to be here with some good news, but had to cancel it because of Dann.

Mr. Fingerhut is in Youngstown to deliver some good news of his own, but because of the Marc Dann problem, this news will be shoved off the front page in preference to the Dann scandal. It seems as if every time we take one step forward, there's someone who sends us twenty steps backwards.

The Governor and the Democratic leadership told Marc Dann that unless he immediately resigns his office, that he will be impeached.
