Pretty good turnout with some YSU professors and students in attendance. Updates about First Night Youngstown, the Northside Farmers' Market extending into downtown, and Wednesday Cinema at the Butler North (church) were given. Phil discussed the 2008 budget for downtown events, events that have been confirmed (Jones Fest, Party on the Plaza,...etc), and updates on pending events. The possibility of teaming up with the county for a park and ride service from the surrounding townships to downtown was discussed, as well as Entertainment District gift cards. The J.R. Davis rehabilitation, the new Lemon Grove Cafe, and the opening of the Taft Tech Center and a September ceremony to highlight the West End revitalization (Taft Center and West Federal Street, Spring Commons, Mahoning Bridge improvements). The rumors about possible downtown venue closings and the reality of whether or not the downtown is currently at its saturation point for restaurants/food services was also brought up. Phil also gave a noteworthy reenactment of what happened when they went to inspect the Stambaugh building in regards to the bird dropping problem and were attacked by the vicious man-eating falcons  ;D

Attendance definitely grew from the previous meeting. Lets hope this continues
