Paper Or Electronic?

A representative of the Board of Elections stated that a voter may request a paper ballot at any of the polling locations.

This is the cold and flu season and I really don't want to touch an electronic screen that everyone else touched prior to my turn in the voting booth.  For this reason, I am going to request a paper ballot.

You do that Jay.. I am going to use the electronic ballot then ask the election officials at my polling location where the nearest restroom is so I can wash my hands. Then I know I will be germ free leaving!

I've heard that a voter may request a paper ballot even thought the polling place has electronic voting machines.  Is this true?
