Streetscape Funding

After the planting, Streetscape is throwing a party for all of the volunteers.

Our block club is participating in the event. Four years ago we asked CityScape to help out with the median strips on Fifth Avenue. Each year we have expanded and finally have all the boulevard ends done. They have really helped us with plants and mulch in this effort.

CityScape primarily focuses in the downtown area but encourages beautification efforts on the arteries into town. If an organization comes forward with "adopting" an area, they are more than willing to provide plant materials.

Apparently StreetScape is still looking for volunteers to plant flowers.  I've seen several spots on TV and have heard commercials on the radio.

Streetscape, the downtown planting project, is in its tenth year.  As always, the money donated by businesses and individuals is the key to the extent of the plantings.  Make your check payable to Streetscape 2007.  The mailing address is
