Needed: a performance venue for non-smokers

There is a city law that supposedly bans smoking in places that serve food.

I agree that there should be venues where a smoker could get tossed out on their ear. Powers has a NO SMOKING policy and hasn't any problems.

ONE SOLUTION WOULD BE TO TELL SMOKERS THAT THEY ARE NOT WELCOME OR WANTED IN ANY VENUE ... NOT EVEN IF THEY DON'T LIGHT UP, OR GO OUTSIDE. WE STILL HAVE TO SMELL THE SMOKE ON THEIR CLOTHES AND BREATH.

LET'S ALSO MAKE THE NEW CIGAR BAR NON-SMOKING.

I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO SEE NO-BOOZE IN ALL THE VENUES. WHO WANTS TO HAVE TO RUB SHOULDERS WITH SOMEONE THAT COULD POTENTIALLY KILL YOU BECAUSE THEY WERE TOO DRUNK TO CONTROL THEIR CAR.

I am a non-smoker in a world of smokers and until smoking is banned in public areas in this area we have no choice.

I enjoy going out for the evening to listen to local bands.  What has caused me to stop this activity is the smoky environments in which these performances usually take place.

The area needs an indoor performance venue where smoking is prohibited.  If you agree with me, please respond to this message by posting a reply.

If there are enough people responding, maybe someone will accomodate us by having some of the bands perform in a smoke free facility.
