Weather Creates A Problem For Local Growers

As we all know, winter has lingered longer than it should have this year.  As a result, flower and vegetable plants grown in local greenhouses have not matured to the point that they are ready for market.  When the planting season finally starts, local growers will be at a disadvantage.  Buyers prefer to purchase blooming flowers that are grown elsewhere and then sold at big box stores.
