WKBN reports that we should hear the judges decision  sometime next week. Wellington has been in the process of bring back Deputy's and will hire 40 more on a gradual basis. Lets all hope that the County Commissioners don't throw a monkey wrench into the works. No doubt that they will have to go to the ballot to help pay the costs, so we all need to know just what's at stake and give it our full support unless we want to see more crimes like the one under discussion and worse. The money that will be coming from the city by itself will not be enough over the long haul.

If the WKBN radio news report is correct, the City and County have come to an agreement on the County Jail, and it will be fully opened by August. According to the report the Sheriff is in the process of taking applications for 40 new Deputies. The final decision according to the report will rest with the Akron judge.
