Questions for you jay...

If you attend a city council meeting, are you able to talk to the councilpersons? or do they enter and leave through private areas?
How far in advance do you need to submit a request to speak?
Are any requests turned down?
The request form says to keep things general... what does that mean?
There is a limit to one address per citizen per month?

Perhaps the members of this forum can post narratives to be read at the meetings  by other members that are able to attend.
What would you  all like to say to city council?
Post in reply to this.
Each post should cover a separate topic.

Here is the link to the request  form online

I'm pleased that two members attended the city council meeting.  I guess two out of two hundred is as good as we are going to get for now.

Apathy is killing Youngstown!

Did any of our forum members make it there?

Two things were missing from the city council meeting on January 17.

1. The mayor was not in attendance.

2. Not one word was mentioned about Councilman Atkinson's car being hit by gunfire on the south side of Youngstown.
