Sad News For South Side Church

This is so sad,    there is nothing like home made Christmas cookies and Hot Chocolate during Christmas Week.    Mother would bring home boxes of home made cookies after the 11:00 Mass (at the time she was the Organist) and that evening, She, Dad and I would enjoy the cookies and hot chocolate. Those were special days for our family, and I sure miss them.

Each year St. Stan's Church, located on the south side of Youngstown, held a Christmas cookie sale.  The cookie sale for this year has been cancelled due to a lack of bakers.  I guess this is what happens when a congregation becomes too small or too old to continue this activity.
