Gunfire on E. Midlothian

We had just been home 20 minutes (and we always try to be home before dark) before we heard 6 gunshots really close.  Called YPD.  Neighbors called each other and THANKS TO THE SCANNER ON THIS SITE, we heard that the people at the church saw a man of color jump the fence and head toward Judson.  A witness said the scumbag was shooting towards Boardman over Midlothian Blvd.  Everyone put their outdoor lights on, if they weren't on yet.

YPD was wonderful.  They flooded the backyards with their lights and searched for the shooter.
After awhile, our southside cars got called to another area out of our region and gave up the search.  I pray that nothing happens to them while chasing the puke!

What a shame that, once again, the kids hear the 1st shot, jump to the floor, and crawl to a safer area of the house.  They want to stay up all night because they're so afraid now.

According to the scanner, the YPD and BPD are looking for a man who fired several gun shots close to a church parking lot near South Avenue and E. Midlothian today at about 6:45 p.m.  People in the area claimed the shooter is now between Rush and South Avenue in the E. Judson area.(the hot spot)
