If I was the police officers I would just let them duke it out until they're all down on the ground bleeding with bloody mouths and broken noses and black eyes

Although I can understand this sentiment, the way these young kids fight nowadays they would
probalby bring out weapons and kill each other - or worse yet - some innocent bystander.  The police
should take these kids and let them duke it out in a boxing ring at the gym, under supervision.

Last night the YPD had to respond to a large fight on Ferndale Avenue involving 20+ people.  One police officer was injured while responding to the fight.
