WYTV's New Look

According to Stan (I talked to him), his move to WKBN is bittersweet. He's been at wytv for 30+ years. But his move to WKBN is a good one, he says.
Not only will he be co-anchoring the 10 pm and 11 pm news with Erika, but he'll also be out in the community reporting stories, which he loves to do.

I told him I guess I feel worse about it than he does. He laughed.

You might pose that question to Mitch Davis the WKBN News Director. Also, why is Stan Boney getting so little time? Stan has been here for about 35 years at WYTV.

I wonder why Erika Thomas is getting so much air time when Dave Sess been at WKBN so much longer than she has?


I don't mind saying that it ticked me off a bit when Teresa Weakly left and Erika was brought in to the the head anchor instead of promoting Dave and making Erika the co-anchor.

Stan Boney and Erika Thomas --- Fox - 10:00 PM
                                                     WKBN - 11:00 PM

When WKBN updated its news set, they let the public know a few days before taking it live and WYTV will be going live Monday with their new Daybreak set.

I was hoping the owners would revamp wytv just as they did WKBN and sink as much money into the renovation.
I'm sorry that they moved Stan Boney out of WYTV though.... he's been there 27 years and worked hard. He deserves to enjoy the 'new' WYTV.

Starting this coming Monday WYTV will have a new look -- new sets and new logo starting with Daybreak at 5:00 A.M. The same crew will be doing the program though.

MEMO to all those who insist on everything being precise, The big change will be unvaled Monday Morning September 14, 2015 at 5:00 A.M. Youngstown time on WYTV Channel 33 (Channel 5 on Time Warner Cable). Now if this is still not precise enough for you, that's your problem, not ours so just shut up.
