read the book, " I will meet you in hell". it is a very interesting story about the relationship between Andrew Carnegie and Henry clay Frick.

I agree.  Carnegie was a giant in his time and incredibly generous.

This is not only sad, but it is DEAD WRONG on the part of the Library.

It is the only Carnegie library not named a Carnegie Library.  Apparently he knew of that at the time he made the donation.  HC Frick also gave $50,000.

I fully agree that if someone is willing to cut a check for $100,000.00 for a new library that that library should bare that person's name. The Main Branch downtown should have been named for Andrew Carnegy since he put the money up to build it,but it wasn't, and Carnegy was snubed. Had it not been for Carnegy, the library Main Branch would still be in the former Richard Brown home.
