Oakwood Flower Garden Needs Help

The majority of the high grass and weeds was cut today.

The lot looks much better.

There was a nice elderly neighbor doing a lot of garden work.  But like many of us, finds it difficult to be out working in a city plot when it's so hard to maintain our own.

The Oakwood Garden near N. Schenley has fallen on hard times.  The garden is full of high weeds and it does not appear as though anyone is caring for it at all.  The garden was created by the West Side Citizens' Coalition which has since become inactive.

Any west side resident is encouraged to lend a hand to spruce up the Oakwood Garden.
