Now I figured it out!  BG stands for "Below Grade"!

I can see BG now in a basement wearing environmentally clean sweats not washed in three months for fear of contaminating the Mahoning river with Tide.  No haircut or shaving necessary also due to environmentally issues.  His heat is provided by denuding the vacant abandoned Youngstown lot next door but he is quietly praying for more fracking since  his Mother's 8 cylinder station wagon is moving further than it has ever gone propelled by crashing gasoline.
