Well you were right!
We drove by today  - no geese -- but a Boardman police cruiser was parked next to where we saw them.
They were run out of town!
LOL

When you have to deal with the sort of news I have to deal with on my web site 24/7/365 you kinna need a break just to keep your sanity, that's why I thougt Jay's Goose (Geese) photo was so nice. I'd love to see it in an 11/17 foremat. I always loved seeing a flock of Geese fly over. Maby Jay might consider having that photo made available in a large foremat suitable for framing.

I've heard that they hang out at Calvary..was that you that mentioned it at the picnic?
where did I hear that?
Just so long as they don't come near my goldfish, I am happy.
Feathers will fly if they land at my house!
They can stay in Boardman! and at Calvary!
After our blue heron attack, all large birds are suspect.

Last week when I was at Calvary Cemetery there were quite a few of them there.

I was just being a little silly ... The photo brought to mind a very old song from back in the 1940's about wild geese. I think the title was Wild Goose about a man who dreams about turning into a wild goose. It was a ballet that had a western flavor. If I'm not mistaken, and I probably am, it was recorded by Frankie Lane.

The retention ponds behind Lowe's have 680 on the other side of them.
It isn't residential but that doesn't mean the geese won't wander.

::) I wonder how long it will be before the Boardman trustees get on their high horse and outlaw Geese in Boardman, especially if the piles of Geese droppings draw the wrath of the snooty nosed folks that live in that area. I can just see it, a family is out in their back yard when a couple of geese  deside to use their back yard as a Porta-Potty or nip them in the legs.

We used the drive behind the Walmart/Lowes Plaza on South Ave. in Boardman today.
I go that way all the time to avoid the parking lot.
We were stunned by the numbers of geese near the retantion ponds.
I've never seen so many.
There were corn cobs all over, so someone is feeding them
On the way home I also took my shortcut through the park.
All the geese I normally see at Lake Glacier were gone....
Did they move to Boardman?
Gosh even the geese are flying the coop and moving to Boardman!!

Great picture Jay!

I didn't know that wild Geese would land where there were people and traffic, but it's really nice to see. They are really beautiful birds. I hope that no one does anything to harm them.

While the kids were at school today, geese took over the ballfield at the Buckeye Playground.
