Annie Gillam isnt a realist that is why she believes everything should stay the status quo
Major changes need to take place next year
Merging 911 with the county
Merging health dept with the county
Annexing industrial business areas of austintown and Boardman
Merging the courts with Campbell and struthers
I'm sure none of this will happen though.
No one in government has the you know what to do any of this

I just find it hard to believe that a councilman could have such unrealistic expectations and not have a vision of how to achieve it.

It took Youngstown from 1797 until the 1930's to grow to a population of about
130,000 people - with a robust local economy.  I don't see Youngstown hitting
those numbers again in MY lifetime...and I'm only 51 years old.

Not unless some major, major, major employers (MANY) come to the area in a
short number of years......

I don't know which Council person made that statement, but I do not see it happening in my lifetime, but then, that's not saying too much given my current age.

A city councilman recently expressed the opinion that we could see the day when Youngstown's population would grown to over 120,000 again.
