This is why the average Jane/Joe doesn't run for local office.  Only well off people are willing to spend money to get the two major parties' candidates elected to office.

The Committee to Elect Mike Ray will host a fundraiser in early October.  The event termed "Oktoberfiesta"  honors Councilman Ray's Mexican and German ancestors.   The fundraiser will feature Bier, Burritos & Brats.  Tickets are $30 each.
