Downtown Youngstown gets organized

this is good news that cityscapes is taking the lead to assist ytown dt merchants to promote their causes. sharon letson, the city scapes director has made it her top priority to promote ytown dt from day one when she took this position several yrs ago.

I certainly wish them well in their endeavors, but I also hope that they will also promote bringing more retail businesses downtown.

As a sidebar ... Phil mentioned the possability of a hotel by 2014. The Stambaugh building has been mentioned as a possable location. Oddly enough this was the site of a former hotel called the Park Hotel back in the 1800's.

A hotel on the Square would be great, because it would be central to all the entertainment venues.
