I know that several members of this forum live in the city of Youngstown where a lot of this crime is taking place.  Most members of the media do not live in the city and won't come here unless it is their assignment to cover a story after it has happened.   Let's keeping working to report problems and hopefully make our city safer.

Looks like our forum got to the story first.  We drove past Walgreens around 1:30 today and saw all the police vehicles, etc. 

Wanted to know what happenned, so I checked Vindy.com today at 4.  They've got nothing about it, but we do!

Aren't we a bunch of busy-bodies?

I hope their surveilance cameras were working.  If so, it will prove that the officer responsed properly.

SUNDAY MORNING AN ARMED MAN HELD UP WALGREEN ON SOUTH AND MIDLOTHIAN. A WOMAN SEEN THE HOLD UP TAKING PLACE AND RAN AND TOLD HER HUSBAND WHO RAN ACROSS THE STREET TO THE SHELL STATION WHERE A POLICEMAN HAD JUST PULLED UP. THE POLICEMAN WENT OVER AND WHEN THE MAN EXITED WALGREEN THE POLICEMAN TOLD THE MAN TO DROP THE WEAPON BUT THE MAN WENT TO SHOOT THE POLICEMAN SO THE POLICEMAN SHOT HIM.
