What's your favorite soup Jay?

Mine is home made lentil soup using chicken broth or turkey broth and broken up bits of bacon. First I soak the lentils over night and the next day using three cans of broth I cook the lentils till they are done then strain the broth out into a second pot and liquidity the lentils and after straining and returning to the broth, add the broken up bacon and finely chopped onion and simmer till the onions are done.

When done I bowl up the soup and add grated extra sharp Cheddar cheese as a topping.

I also toast a couple of slices of bread to use as croutons.

At times I will place a stick butter into a frying pan to melt, add garlic to flavor and fry the slices of bread in the garlic butter and allow to cool before chopping up into croutons. (Use salted butter.)
