February 1st 2012 Iron Soup Historical Preservation Company crew along with as many of our supporters will be attending the Campbell City Council meeting in order to address our them in regards to concerns we have about our area and our city as a whole. We have endured tresspassers, have someone on camera blatantly threatening to do me bodily harm, property owners that are not only doing NOTHING in our city, but are being blatantly counter productive to everyone's efforts here to make a change.

These are just a few of the negative concerns that we have. On the positive side we are planning a new type of flea market in our city, an outdoor theatre, and today we are opening up one of our vacant units as somewhat of a second hand store to raise more money to invest in our area and our community.

We are now applying for both a WEAN Foundation grant and have been invited to apply for the YNDC community garden grant for 2012 and are going to work very hard in hopes that we get them both and we will invest every penny in our community and not one cent in pay checks.

Those are just a couple of the monstrous list of things we have going on right now as Iron Soup is a non stop mechanism of forward movement. The days of taking it easy are gone and in today's day and age if you want to get something done you have to be on it. You also have to be the best, most talented and fastest.

Lastly you have to know how to get the job done. On that note we hope to see everyone, especially members of our Campell Pride Project at city council on Februalry 1st. Campell Pride is a group that gets things done, and they have great people behind them. It is the People that get the job done and the people need to start showing up where it counts.

Government allows for community meetings for a reason, so the community can participate. Once upon a time TOWN HALL would be full of residents voicing their opinions, asking questions, wanting to know what is going on. That practice was lost somewhere down the line, much like the right to peacefully demonstrate and the right to free speech.

The right to show up at public meetings and address your city, county and state leaders has not been taken away from us however and we need to start excersising that right.

It will be interesting to see the comments in regards to this goal and how many people will come up with excuses, and reasons why no one should bother ... but it is those people that either are part of the problem and fear a true solution, or don't want to look bad because they are not willing to make a stand and want everyone else to do the same.

IT IS WE THE PEOPLE ..... PEOPLE ..... WE NEED TO REMEMBER THAT!

From Campbell City Council we will be moving on to the County Commissioners meeting to address them as well, and if need be at some point we can go to Columbus and address the state.

All we ask from everyone is to simply show up, let them know that you will stand behind those who are willing to take a stand. We feel we have more than proven that we are dedicated to the best interests of our community and WE DO HAVE A PLAN THAT WILL WORK.

Please, PLEASE let's let our city, our county and our state know that we can stand together as a community to move things forward.

Best Regards
