After Newt's attacks on Romney's doings with Bain Capital, you can be sure team Obama is getting ready to play it up to the hilt. They will be accusing Mitt's company of taking over distressed companies and slashing divisions, departments or other elements of these companies that they deemed not profitable, with little concern for the jobs lost, or the suffering of the workers.
If they think they'll be able to put a dagger in the heart of the Republican's campaign, they better think again. In fact, it could play right into the Republican's hands by re-focusing attention of just what the Obama Administration did with the auto industry. They took over this industry and decided that the hard working people who invested in auto company stocks, many of them auto workers, should lose their entire investments. They decided, by some formula that was never divulged or discussed, that whole divisions of these companies should be eliminated (Pontiac and Saturn) to name a few. And people who devoted all of their lives to building dealerships should just lose everything, not to mention the thousands of workers who relied on these divisions and dealerships for their livelihoods. I'm sure the Obama administration will point out that unlike Bain, they weren't doing it for profit, which is a dubious claim in itself, but did the reason matter to all the lives that were destroyed? I say, "Yeah, let's have this discussion".
