What year did George open his brewery here? That would be helpful in tracing forward from that point ie 1869 when the Vindicator first published.

You've got me on that one.  I never knew that Renner brewed any beer with a "Budweiser" label on it... I aways
thought that was a trademark of Anheiser-Busch (?)

Some time back while going thru old old old Vindicators I came across a City Brewery ie. Renners ad  advertizing their beers and one of the beers was Budweiser. I never saw this before or after and didn't think to save it.

Being the house expert on Renners hopefully you can put a date to this so that I can go back and find and save it. I'm thinking that it was a Christmas ad but am not sure.
