This church has had more problems than any other church in the history of Youngstown and should have been called on it when they ran into problems with the old Idora Park land. It's no wonder that people view it as a racket.

Towntalk, very interesting comments from the public on this article, this is what I was decrying from the onset here.  The ones who try to make land productive to pay taxes are zeroed in on and yet all the nonprofits sit on property and produce nothing even if revenue is right under their noses.  I had to laugh, Mt. Calvary owns several vacant lots that are adjacent to a 15 year old gas well, my organization bought several other lots and discovered the gas company owes thousands of dollars in back gas revenue to us.  So Mt. Calvary being inept in many things is so inept they can't even see the money right in their face.

90% of all vacant land in Youngstown generate no taxes, yet I have always been the one demonized by the left.  Truth be told, my organization cleared more taxes than Lien Forward and their operating budget is over $300K a year, another waste!
