On Tuesday, a house located on S. Belle Vista in the Garden District was up for auction. The structure was actually next to Mill Creek Park. Although the house was valued at $50,000 , it sold for only $18,500.
While the location is great, the house is not. From the pictures I've seen online, IMO, it had no curb appeal, even if it was in good condition.
And 18K was even too high for our real estate today. We have not hit bottom yet folks and the real estate bubble is still deflating, only raw land is appreciating and holding its value.
Did anyone get a picture of the house?
Follow this link. On the top right of the map window, click on "road" and choose "bird's eye," use the arrows on each side of the compass to rotate. It's the house adjacent to the park.
