Title: Kulig
Post by: jay on January 13, 2011, 09:19:09 PM
Kulig is the Polish celebration of winter. Last night a Kulig event was held at Mill Creek Park's Davis Center in the West Side Garden District.  This ice sculpture was at the entrance to the Davis Center.

At the back of the building, Kulig participants were able to watch as an artist created another beautiful large ice sculpture.

I did not go, but a co-worker went.  She didn't register online before hand, so couldn't get a carriage ride. (she assumes, becasue they were all booked up)  And, because the crowd was so large, she said they ran out of food.  Despite not getting a carriage ride, she said she enjoyed herself.
